Super Sponsors Planting

Prior to the building slowdown post-2008, The Crape Myrtle Trails sought to oversee the planting of 5,000 new crape myrtles per year within the city of McKinney. One component of that challenge was seeking 10 Super Sponsors, each of them willing to plant 200 crape myrtles in a publicly visible part of our city, whether public or private. The Super Sponsors for 2006 through 2008 are listed below. We thank them for their support, and we commend them for the progress of their plantings. Our city is a better place because of their efforts. Our Super Sponsor program may resume at some point in the future, but for now it has shifted toward distribution of crape myrtles to McKinney I.S.D. 5th graders on the Friday before Mother’s Day. Our efforts more recently have been in seeking sponsors for that program.
